THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION IN PET HEALTH

Fact: Dry pet food or kibble was never designed to be a healthy diet for pets. It began as a cheap and convenient way to feed lab animals with leftovers from the food/farming industry.

Fact: Many “prescription diets” cause other problems even as they address specific disease, such as obesity, urinary crystals, gastrointestinal problems, etc.

Fact: Food allergies from kibble are common and often result in ear and skin problems, digestive upset, weight gain and gut dysbiosis.

Fact: Commercial raw diets are safe and beneficial. Bacterial contamination is almost unheard of, as companies making raw diets are held to a higher standard of sterility. Raw foods are rarely recalled, compared to kibble foods which are recalled for contamination constantly.

Opinion: Cats are carnivores who thrive on a high protein, low fat and ideally carbohydrate-free diet. Kibble causes many health problems in cats including dehydration, kidney disease, obesity, diabetes, urinary disease, dental disease, etc.

THE GOOD NEWS!
Whole food nutrition treats and prevents almost all disease conditions, while extending length of life and improving quality of life.
